Welcome to the visual world of Lyn Woolridge.

My paintings are an expression of my interpretation of fleeting moments of the play of light in the natural world.

Living near the ocean has had a profound influence on my work.

Every day the colours of the water and the sky, the sound of the wind or crashing waves and the smells around me change and influence my paintings.

NEWS

EXHIBITION

I am very excited to be holding my first joint Exhibition with fellow artist and friend Eric Strachan in April

Multi Award winning Eurobodalla Artists Lyn Woolridge and Eric Strachan, present their first joint Exhibition “A View From my Easel”. Woolridge and Strachan are both Life members of the South Coast Pastel Society and their works feature Landscapes and Seascapes inspired by their love of the natural world and in particular the Eurobodalla, with it’s wonderful coastline and bushland.

Strachan wishes to share with viewers the joy he experiences when painting on site, in various mediums, scenes that have inspired him world wide. Most of his works are painted on site. He  sees this exhibition as an opportunity to share his works with a wider audience.

Woolridge is best known for her pastel paintings of seascapes and rivers, capturing the changing moods of the sea and the play of light on the water and the wet sand. Most of her works depict local beaches and bushland. However, many recent works are less place specific and attempt to capture a feeling or the mood of the ocean whether it be the turmoil of a storm or the reflections on a calm day and the peace it creates.
